Anjan Ghosal is a High Tech serial entrepreneur based in Melbourne, Florida. Anjan was born in Calcutta India and after his schooling in St. Xavier’s, Durgapur, was selected from 11th grade itself to join the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur where he studied Chemical Engineering. After his graduation in 1985, Anjan left for the US with $750 and a scholarship to graduate school in West Virginia University where he got a Master’s degree in Computer Science. After spending some time in Bell Labs, NJ he started IntelliNet Technologies Inc. in 1992 and moved to Florida. The company grew rapidly. In 1999 IntelliNet became an Inc. 500 Company registering a growth of over 1086% over the previous 5 years. This was followed by the coveted “Fast 50 Florida” in 2000 and 2002 awarded by Gov. Jeb Bush. In 2002 E&Y awarded Anjan the Entrepreneur of the Year, Florida award for this outstanding efforts building up IntelliNet. In 2006 Anjan was inducted as a member of the WVU Distinguished Alumni Academy.
In 2011, Anjan sold IntelliNet in a successful exit to Ruckus Wireless in California which has since gone public at over a billion-dollar valuation. Anjan had the opportunity to move to California as part of the acquiring company. However, he decided to stay back in Florida instead and work with other startups and incubators. Anjan is an angel investor and is actively seeking early stage product companies that are in need of mentorship and potentially angel investment.
